Call for Art: Deco Exhibition
The Art Lounge on South Padre Island is excited to announce our upcoming exhibition, DECO, celebrating the timeless elegance and bold aesthetics of the Art Deco movement.
We’re looking for artwork that features classic Art Deco elements—such as symmetrical shapes, sunbursts, and intricate patterns—alongside modern interpretations that incorporate sleek lines, metallic finishes, and bold geometric designs, all honoring the lasting influence of this iconic movement on art, design, and architecture.
Submissions with island, nautical, or space-themed elements are encouraged, as these themes align with the unique location of South Padre Island and will resonate with the local community, visitors, and buyers.

Submission Guidelines:
All artwork must be for sale.
All fine art media are accepted (no crafts), including watercolor, oils, acrylics, mixed media, printmaking, pastels, drawing, collage, sculpture, jewelry, photography, and fiber art.
Submissions must be the original work of the artist.
Submissions will ONLY be considered if the artist completes the online submission form in full. Submissions without a completed form will not be reviewed.
High-quality images of your work are required for consideration. Please ensure the images are clear, well-lit, and accurately represent the piece.
D-rings are required an inch from the top on all wall-hanging art. If this is not possible, please contact the gallery to discuss alternative hanging or display options.
Marketing During the Show: Artworks displayed at The Art Lounge may be marketed as long as the marketing clearly leads back to the gallery. However, during the duration of the show, artists cannot market or display other works within a 30-mile radius of the gallery.
Guest artist commission split is 50%, so please adjust the pricing accordingly to cover this amount.
Promotion: If selected, images of your artwork, your name, artist’s statement, and/or bio will be used to promote the exhibit on social media, in print, and in any other publicity materials associated with the exhibition. By submitting your work, you agree to allow The Art Lounge to use your submitted images and information for promotional purposes related to the show.

January 5th: Submissions Due
January 12th: Accepted Submissions Notified
February 2nd: Artwork Drop-off
February 22nd: Opening Reception
May 10th: Artwork Pickup
